Cask Strength Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a fantastic peated Irish malt that will knock you for six. A gentle yet intense peat presence on the palate, this is a brilliantly balanced dram that Islay fans will adore.
Jose Cuervo Tequila Reserva de la Familia was introduced in 1995 to celebrate the 200-year anniversary as the world’s leading producer of tequila. Each bottle is handmade, numbered, dated and sealed in wax. Every year the Cuervo family commissions a different Mexican artist to design the new collectable box for Jose Cuervo Tequila Reserva de la Familia. Jose Cuervo is the largest selling tequila brand in the world. Only 17,000 bottles of Reserva De La Familia are produced each year, in collectors boxes designed by Mexican artists. This Extra-Anejo tequila is aged in oak barrels for an average of 3 years. The final blend includes Tequila from reserves aged over 30 years. Only the estate’s finest 10-year-old agaves are hand-selected. Only the most flavourful inner portion of the agave’s pina (heart) is used. Vibrant, with a full, mellow flavour combines floral, agave, vanilla and Cognac-like flavours.
BOX DESIGN WILL VARY.

Some Young Punks epitomise the best of New Australia. The punks consist of Col McBryde (voted Australia’s Young Gun Winemaker of the Year), Jen Gardner (self confessed nerdy yeast expert) and thirdly Nic Bourke. Like most amongst the new breed of interesting, young winemakers in Australia they aren’t moved by porty Shiraz and seek instead a sense of place and restraint in the wines, influenced by the best of the Old World and the New. Col McBryde is as unimpressed by flash-in-the-pan medal-winners that are short on provenance as he is by being hide-bound to the Old World, and carves his own niche. Yet being media savvy and having a sense of humour allows this ironically quietly-spoken but earnest bunch to market themselves outrageously and to bring a fresh approach to labelling. Expect to see increasingly alarming label sported by increasingly interesting and wholly unique wines.

La Umbra Merlot Rose 2010 is a vividly juicy wine, with succulent aromas of red berries and exotic fruits and a luscious finish. Enjoy it with chicken and salads or as a very pleasant quaffer by the glass.
La Umbra Organic Shiraz is a full bodied wine, bursting with blackberries and juicy red fruits, and subtle hints of spice. Enjoy with steak and strong cheeses. La Umbra, which means shade, was inspired by the Romanian tradition of enjoying fresh, youthful wines sitting in the shade of a large tree in the outdoor summer kitchen found in every rural home.

La Umbra Merlot has aromas of blackcurrant, but this Romanian red gives a hit of cracked pepper and sweet plum – a match for any spicy marinade.
“Opt instead for Romania’s rich, earthy, barbecue friendly, spiced, plum stacked La Umbra Merlot”
Jane MacQuitty
“A surprise hit from Romania, La Umbra Merlot. Its fruit driven unoaked style displays a good balance between the sweet plummy centre and its grippy tannins. A bottle which suggests a bright future for Romanian wine.
Andy Cronshaw, MEN
“This merlot is unoaked to let the fruit take centre stage. It has a pleasant nose, where the black plum fruit melds nicely with a certain earthiness and kirsch like brightness. On the palate it has enough savoury spice to make it food friendly, with good fruit and a balanced, modern style yet showing some rustic charm.”
The Wine Gang
” Marrying blackberry, rose hip and spice, this Romanian red takes a modern approach in headlining bold fruit flavours. An exciting find and a brilliant barbecue bet.”
Olly Smith
“A balanced, modern style yet showing some rustic charm.”
Tom Cannavan, Wine -pages.com
“Scoop – this is the first Romanian wine to ever make this page and it is a joy. It’s also a spot on plummy merlot and they are rare these days too. No oak, just fruit is the recipe here and the price is surprise as well”
