Vina Palaciega wines are available from Smithfield Wine Merchants UK from the 19th of January. Literally translated as “wines of the palace,” Vina Palaciega wines are handcrafted in the traditional Rioja style. Grapes for Vina Palaciega wines are sourced from all three regions of La Rioja (Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Baja).
All the wines use traditional grape varieties (Tempranillo & Garnacha), viticultural practices and winemaking techniques. The vineyards are all located between 300-600 metres in altitude and a high percentage of the plots used are less than one hectare in size.
Vina Palaciega produce five wines, a red Joven, which means young wine, a blanco (white rioja), a Crianza, a Reserva and a very satisfying Tempranillo which is actually a blend of tempranillo and garnacha.

All of these wines offer excellent quality at a great price point.
